Reflection

Life is never fair but for all its ups and downs, we were privileged to have shared what time we knew her if only for a few short years. And, it wasn't as if she had been ill for some time, or had any signs of ill health other than a terrible flu. If she had been ill for a long time, we may have been able to steel our minds in preparation for her passing that is if anyone can be really prepared for someone's inevitable death. But, this was so sudden - no warning signs of impending danger and death. We will not forget her - she is forever captured in our hearts and our fond memories.

Memories I remember vividly, the first time we met him. It was a warm summer afternoon at a local craft show where we were displaying our own products. It wasn't long after our initial meeting that we became very close where our commonality from our shared glass crafts brought forward to become very good friends. And, it was from this friendship that we first met his wife. Happens To Us All Every person goes through terrible loss in life and sometimes that loss must be shared over and over gain with other good friends, and even others must seek help to be able to carry on. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this and everything right to do it now and not slip away to become what you do not want to be.

High School Day

School life is very important part of one's life, because it provides opportunity for study and discipline. Besides these, the school life is a preparatory stage for entering public life.

School plays an important role in widening the outlook of students. Virtues such as perseverance, sincerity, truthfulness, tolerance, discipline and obedience developed in pupils. School provides opportunity to the students to be disciplined. They show discipline in class room, playground, hostel, and library at other places.

School is the right place for the fulfilment of the youthful desires. Students take part in games and sports, drama, essay competition, song and debate competitions etc. School also gives the foundation for the budding poets, scientists, writers, doctors, engineers, painters and musicians. It is in school that the students enjoy the affection of their teachers.

Teachers act as the guides and guardians to guide them on the right path. In school, teachers try to remove the evils from the students by sowing some seeds of good qualities in them.

My Dream My Future

Every person in this world does have a dream or an ambition which one wants to fulfill during his / her life. This very dream encourages you to do better and better and move towards your goal. Not everything you think of can be your dream. Some things are just a part of the fascination you grow up with during your childhood. However, your dream plays an important role in your life. Taking this important aspect into account we have come up long essays and short essays for students on this important topic. The essays should provide an insight to the students on how to realise a dream in one’s life and shall benefit them in studies as well.

Every night I dream of living a life of a celebrity. In my dream I see myself dressed up like a model posing for cameras. It is my dream to work in the film industry and become famous. But, for that, I will have to work really hard. My mother always tells me to concentrate on studies and live up to the dream of becoming a model. My father also supports me and he says that he believes in me. Once he told me that I should help others and be in good books of the people to win their heart as it will help me make my dream come true.

Festivals are like glue in our life. That keeps us attached to relationships in society. When we are together as a family, friends, and society it creates a sense of unity. Unity is the most powerful weapon to fight with any obstacle in life.
When the family is connected to festivals it’s a most precious and joyful time. That’s why I think festivals are important in our life. Every country in the world has its own festival and celebration. People all around the world love joining together and sharing good time through the festivals and celebrations. Festivals are great way to experience local culture. Sometime they even offer a glimpse into past. There are hundreds of festivals across the world. So are you ready to experience of fun and colorful festivals? Below are some of festivals from Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America. Let’s start in Europe. Europeans have a lot of festivals that attract thousands.
The festival is a celebration of patron saint, San Fermin. No one is sure when the festival began, but it was documented in the 14th century when it seems the festival was held on October 10th. In 1591, the festival of San Fermin was moved to 7th of July when the weather is better for the event. La Tomatina is also a festival from Spain.

Change Starts With Me

Change starts with me Man due to his need and greed has done many activities that not only harm the environment but himself too. Many plant and animal species go extinct due to human activity. Human activities that harm the climate include deforestation, using fossil fuel, industrial waste, a different type of pollution and many more. All these things damage the climate and ecosystem very badly. And many species of animals and birds got extinct or on a verge of extinction due to hunting.
Global warming is the general increase in the temperature of the world. Climate change, on the other hand, includes variation in world temperature. However, it goes beyond just that. It is the general change in the climatic conditions of the world which includes wind patterns and precipitation.
If we do not do anything and things continue to go on like right now then a day in future will come when humans will become extinct from the surface of the earth. But instead of neglecting these problems we start acting on then we can save the earth and our future.

Vigan: Culture of the Ancient

Even before the Spaniards came, Vigan was already a trading port. Chinese traiders sailing from the South China Sea usually came to Isla de Vigan (Island of Vigan) by the Mestizo River that surrounded the island. They used to trade with the local settlers golds, beeswax, and other mountain products.

Vigan City is a World Heritage Site in that it is one of the few Hispanic towns left in the Philippines, and is well known for its cobblestone streets, and a unique architecture that fuses Philippine and Oriental building designs and construction, with colonial European architecture.

The city is the trading hub of the province but agriculture is still the mainstay of the local economy. Main farm products include rice, tobacco, rootcrops, vegetables, livestock and poultry. Fishing is an important source of income especially in the coastal area. Fishponds are also sources of fish supply for the city. Vigan is well-known for its jars called burnay. It has a long tradition of making bricks called Damili. These materials were used to build the colonial houses and churches not only in the city but also in the region. Another popular cottage industry is the Abel-weaving from which fine fabrics are produced. Prominent personalities in the city and province are helping in the revival of this industry. With much help from the government, tourism is now playing an increasing role in the economy of the city.

New Year New Me

New Year New Me I wonder what my New Year's Resolution will be. Will i clean up my act, will i help the environment! Well... let's find out.

This year I want to work more on my homework and less time messing around because my grades are dropping because of it. And if my grades stay bad then I can get kicked out of the school, and I really like this school it is fun and give me lots of opportunities. But if I get my work done then I will have good grades and still have time to do things and have fun.

Well, years end and new ones start, but each one is different in their own way. How I will make this one different is I will work really hard to make track (to make my family proud), I will fight less with my brother because (even small things can lead to bad things), and I will work more on my homework and less on playing around so I can pull my grades up and stay at the top, (you get rewarded for good grades and punished for bad). I have some really big resolutions, looks like I better get started if I want to do them!

Reflection

School is only for the open minded and strong, the weak cannot survive. You may have learned about math, science, social studies, and language arts but only a handful of students actually learn lifelong lessons to be in a productive society. School holds many things in its classrooms and hallways. Having great teachers and mentors will benefit you in school. Their wisdom and knowledge will contribute to you in ways unimaginable. School can teach you plenty and these are a couple of the many of things I have learned.

I learned you had to leave that wonderful, secure place called home for a place where you were supposed to learn all kinds of new things—and at an age much too early to leave that security. I learned that even if you cried day after day, nobody cared and you still didn’t get to go home. I learned that you could cry on your mat at naptime so that the nobody who didn’t care wouldn’t see you cry. I learned that the only thing to do was to play blocks with bully boys or play house with bossy girls, and the teacher always frowned because I didn’t want to do either. I learned that there was never anything good to read and nothing to do or learn that I wasn’t already able to do at home—if I could only be there.

The Day of Christmas

On Christmas Day, we will get in our Christmas clothes and head on over to Bob's trees and have our own family breakfast. Our uncle Bill is like the manager of Bob's trees so we get to have it there, and also half of my mom's side of the family work there, even her mom. So anyway, when we're there, I see my Great-grandma C and she gives my cousins and my brother and I our Christmas presents and also other family members because they won't be coming to our Christmas dinner party at our house.

Just yesterday, I went shopping for my best friends and while we were shopping we went to Michaels and I wanted to make a homemade wreath for us to have. We never bought a wreath or never had one cause they are so expensive. So I said to my mom I wanted to make one and she said “OK.” We got Christmas color pom poms, some pine cones that are fake but smell really good, a bow and a foam ring to put the pom poms on. When we went home, I started right away on the wreath.

While we were shopping, we bought our yearly Christmas ornaments. I got an ornament that has a white teddy bear on it and the teddy bear is wearing a scarf and also the teddy bear is holding a baby penguin and the baby penguin is wearing a hat and they both are sledding down a hill on a blue sled. It is so cute.

Since the passage of the Law, the IACVAWC member agencies have made significant accomplishments in the areas of public information and advocacy, policy development, capacity building, service delivery, and monitoring. Frontline service providers were given various trainings on the use and application of the Law in their anti-VAWC services. Specific programs addressing the special needs of VAWC victims were developed and implemented and various tools and systems are being developed to monitor and evaluate the implementation of anti-VAWC services.

The IACVAWC have formulated a strategic plan to achieve their vision of “A gender - fair and empowered society that protects its people especially women and children from any form of violence and exploitation thus enabling them to fully exercise their rights and participate in all development efforts, and experience a peaceful and fulfilling family and community life.”

Love for Nature

By the virtue of R.A. No. 9512, November was designated as environmental awareness month. “Everyone needs to be aware of the impact of their actions because the success and failure of environmental programs and the overall condition of our environment lie on small, personal acts that accumulate over time,” Paje said.

The activities will be spearheaded by the DENR’s Environmental Management Bureau (EMB).

Most of the activities on environmental awareness center on climate change and solid waste management (SWM)

The EMB, through the National Solid Waste Management Commission (NSWMC), together with the Solid Waste Association of the Philippines (SWAPP), will also hold the SWAPP Conference (SWAPPCon) 2012 to discuss the effectiveness of SWM by local government units (LGUs) in improving climate change adaptation and mitigation and disaster risk reduction. The event will be held on November 20-23 at the Bayview Hotel in Manila.
