Nutrition month as a way to a healthy start

Resulta ng larawan para sa nutrition

Nutrition month has come, but our nutrition is fading away. During nutrition month, we celebrate our healthy lifestyle, routine and habits, we also educate people about the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits.

This year’s theme focuses on promoting a balanced healthy lifestyle through proper nutrition and physical fitness activities, by different contests or competitions. Like: Nutri-Jingle, essay writing, poster making and more, we are able to celebrate and implement the sights and accomplish objectives of the nutrition month. Thanks also to our government especially the DepEd and DOH for their help in hosting the nutrition month.

My intro says “Nutrition month has come, but our nutrition is fading away” it means even if there are people who are healthy and have a good lifestyle, there are also several people around the world that needs nutrition. The cause of this is because of their lack of guidance about what type of food they will eat and type of lifestyle they will take. It was called ‘malnutrition’.

To help prevent the malnutrition is also an objective of the nutrition month through giving knowledge to people about nutrition. Nutrition month is indeed an important event for our society. To implement it is to share nutrition to everybody.

Calamity preparedness demonstration

Resulta ng larawan para sa earthquake fault
Whenever calamities occur, people tend to fear the event so panic arises and we couldn’t think of a better way of how to react to those kind of situations. But thanks to NDRRM, DepEd and OCD for implementing the NSED or the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill in order to reach us how we should act before during, after a disaster.

NSED’s first quarter started in Iloilo City where a lot of people participate including private and public schools and business organizations. The 1st quarter of NSED was successful with the help of the government officials, the NDRRMC taught the demonstration of evacuation procedures followed by teaching the emergency response of coastal barangays. The NSED’s objective it not the only help people move more actively and responsively when unexpected earthquakes will happen.

Learning, applying and preventing, if we cannot prevent a calamity then learn to counter it and apply what you’ve learned. We shall not just depend on our officials for our safety but we must also act on our own good. The NSED showed us that we can respond to earthquakes better by learning how to react responsibly when an earthquake occurs.

Letter to the President

Dear President:
I have been admiring you since the start of your duty as the leader of our country because you are not afraid of change. Being the president is not that easy; plenty of paper works, meetings and discussions to add in your schedule, so it was pretty stressful.
We are grateful to you because of giving notice of our falling environment and gave Boracay and Manila bay a chance to shine again. You really made such improvements with the assistance of your board members not only in environmental aspects but also in political; solving corruption by identifying and determining the corrupt officials. Health; by starting your campaign: war on drugs. Lastly, economical; enhancing trading affairs to other countries, implementing the train law, the BBB project and road transportations.
I know that some of your projects are yet to be accomplished because we are still adjusting to the sudden changes of our country, but may I share my opinion to the other problems in our country.
May you also give importance to our precious lands and waters, and enhance our agricultural fishery and forestry equipment to increase organic products from the Philippines.

Crystal Glass

A glass looks shiny in the first glance; it looks transparent and beautiful. Like a fragile looking glass, I walk, I stand, I love, I live, but the difference between me and the glass is I may look fragile but I’m unbreakable inside. Like a crystal.

Pride of the century

Resulta ng larawan para sa hand fist drawing

June 12, 1898, when we obtained freedom from the colonization of the Spaniards so yearly, we are celebrating it not only to acknowledge the date of freedom but also to acknowledge our bravest heroes who willingly fought and died for our country.

The utmost pride of our heroes is incomparable to any. They didn’t just save us and give our freedom but they represented their love for our country and showed our roaring liberation.

The wish for freedom isn’t that easy. We need to oblige ourselves to obtain what we are wishing for, in order to be determined, you need to be ready to sacrifice yourselves and face war.

Those are the hardships our heroes encountered before and during the revolution. So celebrating the Independence day is not only about celebrating our freedom, but also celebrating and showing the super patriotism of the Filipinos in a good way.
