World Heritage Cities Solidarity Day Celebration every September 8 is conducted in vigan city. This is a special day which is commemorated with a long festivities aimed at strengthening pride in the history and cture of Vigan.
Solidarity Festival is started with the repazzo de vigan- a parade participatwd in by 39 barangays, students and governmental organization. The unique parade is followed by Historia Oral. It is a wonderful oppurtunity for listeners to learn about Vigans' history, culture and day-to-day life straight to the mouths of the old, ordinary vigan folks.
Moreover, during the celebration , notable vigan products are also showcased including those bigueño delicacies nativeof the place. In addition, artistic experiences can also be gained when one goes at Vigan culture trade fair where paintingd,photographs and local products are displayed.
Indeed, It is an honor for Vigan and to all bigueños that the historic place Vigan is part of the world heritage.
